HOMIN Choir in Manchester - 7 April
On 7 April, HOMIN Choir will perform in Manchester at Maxwell Hall (Maxwell Building, 43 The Crescent, Salford, M5 4WT, UK). The program will bring together Ukrainian choral tradition, contemporary interpretation, and the emotional power of live performance.
ABOUT HOMIN
HOMIN Choir is a professional Ukrainian ensemble created to develop choral culture and present the strongest achievements of Ukrainian music to wide audiences. The choir works with diverse material and builds programs that combine artistic quality, meaning, and direct emotional impact.
Founded in Lviv in 1988 at the regional branch of the Music Society of Ukraine, HOMIN has performed in Ukraine and internationally for over three decades, including tours in the USA, France, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Great Britain, Serbia, Spain, and Sweden.
In cooperation with the Culture Department of the Lviv City Council, the choir has organized international cultural projects and major choral events in Lviv, including the Lviv Meetings International Choral Music Festival and the regional festival Praise the Lord from Heaven.
REPERTOIRE
HOMIN’s repertoire includes Ukrainian composer works, folk and insurgent songs, European and American choral music, and contemporary vocal programs. The ensemble is well known for Christmas concerts with Ukrainian and international carols, spiritual projects, patriotic sets, and modern-format productions.

HOMIN AND THE LVIV ORGAN HALL
In 2023, HOMIN joined the Lviv Organ Hall to unite the experience and artistic practices of both institutions. In August 2023, Vadym Yatsenko became chief conductor and artistic director. Under his leadership, the renewed ensemble represented Ukraine at the International Choir Festival in Lund, Sweden.
At the Lviv Organ Hall, HOMIN regularly presents new programs and participates in collaborations with soloists, guest conductors, and the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Luhansk Regional Philharmonic. Performances are also featured on the Ukrainian Live Classic YouTube channel.
HOMIN was named Ukraine’s best choir of 2024 in Ukrinform’s national Infobum-Classical Music 2024 rating. In 2025, the ensemble gave 200 performances in Ukraine and Europe, and in 2026 plans more than 250 shows across Ukraine, Europe, the UK, the USA, and Canada.
